he Keepers of the Archive was formed in April 1999 as a local history group covering Burntwood, Chasetown and Chase Terrace.

It is a purely voluntary group who meet once a month. Meetings are free and informal.

The ‘Archive’ is a collection of photographs and memories of the area. Anyone in the area can loan the ‘Archive’ free of charge. The group also hold occasional slide shows and similar fund-raising events. Ron Bradbury currently has a booklet out which is his personal view of the history of the area.

The main aims of the group are to continue to collect photographs, continue taking photographs of the area, continue collecting peoples memories, and hopefully in the near future erect plaques at local sites of interest.
